Phil offers a range of services from clients as diverse as small gardens to the largest estates. He is most commonly contacted by new entrant crofters for visits to the croft Drumfearn or for Phil to visit their holdings, with thoughts to regenerative management, biodiversity enhancement and tree establishment, particularly orchards and shelterbelts.

Phil has a diverse background in group management and delivering training for all ages and abilities. He is known as an incredibly enthusiastic communicator with a depth of knowledge in his subject areas. He frequently works with the University of the Highlands and Islands, Nature Friendly Farming Network, Scottish Crofting Federation, Soil Association and numerous conservation organisations.
